I have used this product for several years, and it’s wonderful! Since I’ve bought this, I haven’t paid for facial waxing for the upper lip and the lower half of my face – it has saved me a lot of money. I have extra-sensitive skin (Rosacea), and it doesn’t turn my face red. It works just as it’s advertised. It doesn’t take very much of the product to remove hair from the whole lower half of your face (not cheeks); however, please don’t exceed the 8 minute time limit. It will start to burn (the face still doesn’t turn red though).

I wasn’t impressed with this product at all. For me, my skin burned after I used it and the hair was still there.

Gentle? I think not..like some one said before it left red blotchy spots. and the soothe cream made it feel worse by the way i didnt leave it on longer that suppose to ive done this once before and NEVeR again will that happen.
on to the Soothe Cream with Hair Stop..is that a joke? I believe it made my hair grow. when I using Nair I was only doing this once a month but with the Surgi its 2 or 3 times a month.
I gave this product a good 2 months before I finally ditched it cause i thought maybe it took a while to really work. In my opinion this product just plain sucks and i would never buy it again. But hey it may work better for you.

I followed instructions. Started with makeup and moisturizer-free face. Lightly dampened my skin. Left on for 8 minutes, though the bad smell mixed with heavy fragrance nearly made me vomit. Removed with applicator (de-applicator, I guess) and NO HAIR HAD BEEN REMOVED. My face was sensitive for a few hours after and I had a blotchy red spot or two for a day. But it did not remove any hair above my lip, as far as I could tell. Back to bleaching I guess, at least that works well no matter what brand I use. I do give it 2 stars because at least the fragrance used isn’t horrible, just heavy.

I’ve used this product twice. It was recommended by a friend who has been using it for years. She has sensitive skin and buys the extra gentle formula. I don’t have sensitive skin, but decided to try the extra gentle formula, too. I’m glad I did. The first time I used it, it left a small, sunburn type spot.
What I’ve learned from the two times I’ve used this product:
~Only for use on face; don’t use near your eyes or on your eyebrows
~Do not use on irritated skin
~Read all the precautions before beginning
~Do a test area the first time you use this
~Dampen your skin first
~Use your fingertips and apply thickly at skin level; I try to dab it on thickly
~Don’t rub it in
~Remove any Surgi-Cream that gets on your lips with a damp cloth
~Do not leave it on longer than 8 minutes
~You will probably need to use this every 10-14 days
This product feels very uncomfortable to me during the 4-8 minutes it’s working. If you don’t apply it thickly enough at skin level it won’t work. Be sure to use the included Surgi-Soothe Cream when you’re finished. I tried the applicator but found it easier to use my fingers. My skin might’ve been a little irritated the first time I used this..the results were a sunburn looking red spot that finally faded after 9 days. Each time I’ve used this, the area above my lip has felt like it’s sunburned for at least 3 hours afterward. It doesn’t hurt to touch it; it’s not red; but feels like it’s been burned. Remember, I don’t have sensitive skin.
Surgi-Cream works, just be sure to read the brochure carefully, including the precautions, and follow the instructions.
