A creamy lotion based 3% AHA pretreatment commonly used before applying TCA, Glycolic, Lactic, and Salicylic acid peels. This mild exfoliant conditons the skin to ensure an even penetration of the stronger peel solution. Dr. Obagi, creator of the Obagi Blue Peel, recommends applying an AHA for one week prior to a full chemical peel treatment.
May also be used on a daily basis for a continuous exfoliation of dead skin cells. As we age, dead skin cells tend to stay attached to the body longer than when we were younger, causing weathered and/or spotty complexions.
