Choosing a Peel:

Glycolic: stimulates collagen growth more effectively than any of the other peels. It’s small molecule allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25%  thickening over 12 weeks. Glycolic acid generally causes little or no visible peeling.

Lactic: works on the surface of the skin to treat tone, texture, and pigmentation. The Lactic acid molecule works to pull moisture into the cells, and exfoliate surface cells which helps to perfect the skin’s surface and restore the skin’s natural glow.

Glycolac: With a combination of Glycolic (25%) with Lactic (35%), it provides hydration and tone improvements of the Lactic, with the increased collagen stimulation of the glycolic. It is generally well tolerated because the lactic and glycolic work on different levels or the skin.

Salicylic: a great kertolytic which means it helps loosen the bonds between skin cells to promote exfoliating. It is the only hydroxy acid which is oil soluble which allows it to penetrate into clogged pores. It can be used more frequently than the other peels without must risk for irritation.

BHA+: Hands down the best peel for acne and oily skin. You should expect some visible flaking of the skin 2 days after using the peel. This will help with active acne blemishes as well as old acne marks, and a variety of other skin problems.

HQ+: This peel is best for pigmentation and acne scarring. Similar to our BHA+ peel, with added ingredients which to help to fade pigmentation differences and even skin tone. If you suffer from old acne marks, age spots, or melasma, this peel will be the most effective in helping you.

Product Description
Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sour milk. Lactic acid helps to eliminate germs, toxins and dead cells from the skins surface, and also helps to maintain the skin’s pH level. Lactic acid occurs naturally in the skin and is a primary component of the skin’s natural moisturizing mechanism, making it ideal for individuals wishing to avoid over-drying and skin dehydration. The use of Lactic acid will help to increase skin cell turnover on the surface of the skin, producing smoother-looking and more vibrant skin. In the deeper layers, beneath the skin’s surface, new collagen and elastin will be stimulated and the skin will actually become thicker, tighter and more firm. Lactic acid’s unique ability to draw moisture toward the surface of the skin makes it ideal for individuals whose skin dries out easily. This treatment also effectively combats acne by killing germs and removing toxins on the surface of the skin and by breaking down the dry, dead, glued-together surface sebum that makes skin look dull and clogs pores. This leaves the skin with a wonderfully smooth and clear complexion. With continued use as directed the skin will look more youthful and vibrant. • Recommended by Dermatologists and Estheticians
  • Light Fragrance – Creamy Texture – pH 4
  • May also be used as a Daily Moisturizer that encourages exfoliation of dead skin cells
  • Squeeze Bottle with Dispenser Cap 2 fl oz

Product Description
A creamy lotion based 3% AHA pretreatment commonly used before applying TCA, Glycolic, Lactic, and Salicylic acid peels. This mild exfoliant conditons the skin to ensure an even penetration of the stronger peel solution. Dr. Obagi, creator of the Obagi Blue Peel, recommends applying an AHA for one week prior to a full chemical peel treatment.

May also be used on a daily basis for a continuous exfoliation of dead skin cells. As we age, dead skin cells tend to stay attached to the body longer than when we were younger, causing weathered and/or spotty complexions. Products with mild acids hasten the removal of those dead skin cells by increased exfoliation or flaking of the skin. Decreases dryness, flakiness, weathered skin, and age spots. Improves the appearance of acne scars with continuous use.
